After a 24-year career representing some of the biggest stars in sports, Taub returned to his entrepreneurial roots and launched Stoked in 2020. Taub represents a roster of Olympic, Action Sports and Iconic athletes including the best skateboarder (Nyjah Huston), snowboarder (Chloe Kim) and surfer (John John Florence) in the world. Taub focuses on creating “off-the-field” revenue opportunities for his clients including endorsement, appearance, social media, licensing, and equity/ownership partnerships. Stoked launched a talent advisory practice that advises brands on their talent ambassador procurement, including NOBULL and Hugo Boss.
Taub began his career at If Management in 1996, representing sports television personalities, finishing his tenure in the role of Director of Client & Business Affairs. Taub next spent seven years at SFX Sports Group, as Vice President of Talent Marketing, before starting his first athlete representation company, GFHF Marketing & Management, in 2005. GFHF was acquired by CAA Sports in 2007 and Taub finished his tenure at CAA as Head of Sports Endorsements, where he generated over $297M in athlete endorsement partnership revenue managing a client roster including Shaun White, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dwyane Wade and Novak Djokovic.
In 2014, Taub was recognized by the Sports Business Journal “Forty Under 40.”
Taub graduated from Cornell University and is married with two children, based in New Jersey suburbs outside NYC.
Alex Petrut joined Stoked at the beginning of 2021 and serves as the VP of Talent and Advisory.
With eight years of comprehensive experience in talent and brand representation, procurement and management, Alex began his career in 2013 at APA in the Entertainment Marketing department. Working on behalf of Marriott and Bombardier, Alex assisted brands in developing marketing strategies to leverage entertainment and influence consumer choice and trends.
He left APA shortly thereafter to add experience on the talent side of the business, joining ICM’s Global Branded Entertainment department, where he managed major brand deals for multiple A-list celebrities. Alex left ICM in 2014 to join CAA’s Digital Talent department, which specialized in the growth of emerging talent and platforms.
In 2016, Alex transitioned to CAA Sports’ Endorsements department, where he helped manage the careers of some of the world’s most successful athletes. In 2019, Alex returned to the brand side to work at UEG as Manager of Talent & Influencers, identifying and securing talent for campaigns on behalf of some of the world’s largest brands, such as Unilever and Pernod Ricard.
Alex received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Washington State University. He currently resides in New York City.
Rheann Engelke joined Stoked in the Spring of 2023 and serves as Senior Director of Talent Marketing.
Rheann has over eight years of sports industry experience, beginning her career at the University of Wisconsin Athletics where she led the season-long marketing efforts of Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Men’s Basketball, and Football for three years. She additionally spent a summer interning for Under Armour on their Women’s Brand Management team. In the summer of 2018, Rheann started at CAA Sports where she soon joined their Basketball department and supported the endorsement efforts of nearly 90 NBA players. She later transitioned to work under one of the agency’s leading NBA agents where she served as a manager for some of the league’s top players.
In the summer of 2021, Rheann was hired as the Director of Marketing for Sports International Group, the world’s largest women’s basketball agency in addition to representing NBA, NCAA, and Coaching talent. She built the agency’s first in-house marketing department in addition to representing the off-court businesses of nearly a hundred athletes, including 2021 WNBA Finals MVP Kahleah Copper, 2021 WNBA MVP Jonquel Jones, and 2022 WNBA #1 Pick and Rookie of the Year Rhyne Howard. At SIG, Rheann made strides in the women’s endorsement space, helping to advocate for her clients’ exposure in major partnerships as well as equitable pay.
Rheann has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and minor in Digital Studies from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and currently resides in Chicago, IL.
Owen Wohl joined Stoked in September of 2021 and currently sits as Director of Client Services.
Owen started his career at Havas Worldwide in New York City as an Assistant Account Executive on the PIMCO, Michelin, and Rite Aid brands. At Havas, he was responsible for managing day to day relationships with the clients as part of the client facing account team. There, he helped execute and deliver integrated marketing campaigns for some of the agency’s largest accounts.
Following Havas, Owen began working for Knock Out Representation, a boutique sports agency specializing in the representation of combat sports athletes. At KOreps, he was responsible for procuring and signing partnership deals on behalf of the agency’s list of clientele. He assisted in closing multiple deals across the fitness, health & wellness, and e-sports categories.
Owen is a graduate of Indiana University and currently resides in New York City.
Chandler Hunt joined Stoked in June of 2022 and currently sits as Manager of Client Services.
Chandler gained his first exposure to the sports industry during his time as a professional snowboarder on the U.S. Team from 2014-2020. While competing, Chandler learned about sports marketing firsthand as a sponsored athlete for brands like Rockstar and Volcom.
After retiring from competition in order to fully pursue a college education, Chandler further developed his marketing skillset through internships with various sports marketing-related companies, including DC Snowboards and Evolution Management + Marketing.
Chandler is a graduate of USC and currently resides in Los Angeles.
